Chaja Verveer shared her story with a standing room
only audience at the Friendswood Public Library. Her program was titled The Improbable Survivor: a young child in the
Holocaust.
Verveer is a board member of the Houston Holocaust
Museum and a commissioner on the Texas Holocaust and Genocide Commission. She has been invited to speak to a symposium
on child survivors of the Holocaust in Europe at the invitation of the German
Chancellor Angela Merkel.
The library will have a DVD recording of the program available for check out in the coming month.
