What She
Said
Jasmine stinks thick tonight.
The thin tongues of deer lap
through tiny rain-ploughed rivers.
Why does the sparrow sleep
inside the forest
and still say nothing?
What He Said
I am the last to speak,
but when I do, I mean
to bury my face in hers,
to hear her hair waterfall around me,
to gather sad honey around the soft pools at her neck.
~Choonwha Moon
